The structure of the natural world is organized according to natural patterns in which there are many recurring numerical relationships. Human cognition is also often based on patterns that describe the world according to procedures that can be expressed in mathematical models. It is therefore intriguing to ask whether consciousness can also be described by an algorithm that can be expressed through the language of mathematics.
